CHARITY PARTNERS

Pat Dennigan
CEO
Focus-Ireland

“Focus Ireland are delighted to partner with Business and Finance for their first ever virtual Business Show, Rebooting Ireland. This innovative approach aims to bring the full experience of a conference to the virtual world, and we can’t wait to see the virtual exhibition hall and networking events. We see real synergies between our goals, as we move towards a tentative re-opening of society. At Focus Ireland, we are committed to bringing about real change for the most vulnerable people across Ireland as we emerge from lockdown, while The Business Show aims to bring together leaders for real solution-based discussions to confront these economically challenging times. We must all work together to bring about real and lasting change.” – Pat Dennigan, CEO, Focus Ireland

At Focus Ireland, we are driven by the fundamental belief that homelessness is wrong. Wrong because it is a failure of society that creates victims out of ordinary people and robs them of their potential. We are committed to challenging everything about homelessness: the causes, systemic failures, people’s perceptions and the ways in which it is tackled. Our areas of expertise lie in prevention and sustained exit. We work to stop people from entering into homelessness, and, for those who already are, we provide a holistic model of wrap-around supports to help maintain their new home. Focus Ireland have 86 services nationwide and we are working with the most vulnerable adults, families and young people across Ireland. We truly believe that we can end homelessness through strategic, long-term action.

Robert Carley
Deputy CEO
SOS

“The team at SOS are both honoured and excited to be a charity partner at The Business Show. At a time when we are all reeling from the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic it is critical that we recognise the impact it has had on the mental health of our families, our communities, our organisations and on individuals. The Business Show is all about rebooting Ireland and we know that Wellness will be the foundation for any future growth. We have worked with an array of organisations throughout the past months and they will all testify to the positive impact addressing employee wellness can have. Nobody can do this alone but together we can change the future.” – Robert Carley Dep. CEO at Suicide or Survive

Dominic Layden
CEO
Aware

“We are delighted to have been chosen as charity partner for The Business Show. The emergence of Covid-19 has impacted significantly on businesses throughout Ireland and while we are certainly seeing some positives, the majority of organisations are also facing new challenges. Aware is no different, we are tackling the same financial and operational issues as most businesses out there, big and small. For Aware, this is within the context of a dramatic increase in demand for our services. We experienced an 85% increase in calls to our Support Line in April and May this year, highlighting the impact of the pandemic on public wellbeing. The economic consequences of Covid-19 are also of concern, as we rely heavily on community and corporate funding in order to deliver our services free of charge. This partnership provides a great opportunity for Aware to demonstrate how essential our services are and the importance of managing our mental health as we all continue to adjust to a new way of life, both in business and our personal lives.” – Dominic Layden, Chief Executive Officer at Aware

Aware is a leading mental health organisation providing support, education and information services for those impacted by depression, bipolar disorder and other mood related conditions.
